چکیده

Background: Cryptosporidium parvum is major protozoan parasite of both animals and humans with zoonotic significance. There a paucity information on its occurrence associated risk factors in North Eastern states, India. The present study aimed at the molecular characterization from cattle handlers West district Tripura associates analysis. Methods: Faecal samples were randomly collected (100 each), district, Tripura. subjected to sheather’s sucrose flotation, modified Zeihl Neelsen (mZN) staining PCR assay targeting 18S SSUr-RNA gene for detection Cryptosporidium. polemerised chain reaction- Restriction length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was done detect spp. C. genotypes. Cryptosporidium parvum and Cryptosporidium andersoni infection in naturally infected cattle of northwest Iran

The protozoan intestinal parasite Cryptosporidium commonly infects cattle throughout the world and Iran. The present study was undertaken to determine the abundance and associated risk factors of Cryptosporidium infection in cattle herds of northwestern Iran. A total number of 246 fecal samples from 138 (56.1%) diarrheic (D) and 108 (43.9%) non-diarrheic (ND) cattle were rando...

Cryptosporidium parvum transport from cattle fecal deposits on California rangelands

Cryptosporidium parvum is a fecal borne protozoan parasite that can be carried by and cause gastrointestinal illness in humans, cattle, and wildlife. The illness, cryptosporidiosis, can be fatal to persons with compromised immune systems. At question is the potential for C. parvum in cattle fecal deposits on rangeland watersheds to contaminate surface water. First, C. parvum oocysts must be rel...

Rangeland Cattle and the Risk of Waterborne Cryptosporidium Parvum Infection in Humans

BACKGROUND Cryptosporidium parvum (C. parvum) is a tiny protozoal parasite that can cause gastrointestinal illness in a wide variety of mammals, including humans, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses. It also occurs in various wildlife species such as deer, raccoons, opossums, and rabbits (Fayer et al. and Ungar 1990). In cattle, clinical disease and shedding of the parasite is usually limite...

Epidemiology of Cryptosporidium Infection of Cattle in Kerman/Iran and Molecular Genotyping of some Isolates

Background & Aims: Cryptosporidiosis is one of the most important parasitic zoonoses of human and animals. This infection is common in mammals and caused by the coccidian parasites of the genus Cryptosporidium. The Present study was designed to determine the epidemiology of Cryptosporidium infection in cattle in Kerman by using conventional morphological as well as molecular methods for molecul...
